Milagros Martínez and Jacek Frąckowiak, winning ideas

Milagros Martínez, who works in our Valencian plant, and Jacek Frąckowiak, from Poland, knew that, in each of their workspaces, their work could be improved. And they decided to make their suggestions for improvement through the company's innovation platform. They were brilliant ideas that were accepted, and brought them both recognition from the company and last year's TOP 1 award. Today we ask them: Why did they do it?

Mila: to stop an idea from dying

Mila (as she is called by the rest of the team) comments that “when you are working you notice that you can do many things differently. Often you communicate this to people and the idea stops there, dead. But Núvol is a tool we can use to implement the ideas we have”. Her idea was a successful suggestion consisting of rearranging the pieces housed in one of the packages. Until then, 216 pieces were sent in the package and, thanks to her, 24 more pieces are now being sent using the same space in the container and, therefore in the lorries and warehouses. An improvement of more than 11%! Her idea was the most brilliant proposal last year at the Valencia plant.

Jacek: the opportunity to win a prize or compete for one

At the Wroclaw plant, Jacek Frąckowiak also takes pride in knowing that, from their position at the plant, anyone can incorporate process or safety improvements. In his case, the idea which won the TOP1 In Wroclaw last year consisted of adapting a mould, it was a simple change which resulted in a great advantage: it is now impossible for the manufacturing operator to package the wrong pieces, something which did occur before his intervention.

For Jacek, who with his idea contributed to ensuring the manufacturing standards in his line of manufacturing, Núvol is a great proposal with a “modern focus”. But he adds an important comment that “through this tool it is possible to win an award or compete for one, and that is motivating”
